Not much has changed on the outside of this spectacular building in London. Now classified as a World Heritage Site, the buildings were designed by Christopher Wren and built between 1696 and 1712. This complex of buildings was used as a hospital until 1869. It was home to the Royal Naval College, Greenwich from 1873 to 1998.
Dramatic architecture seems somehow uniquely European. There are just some buildings that have a look that says old world elegance. The Imperial Palace Theater is one of those European buildings that has such a stately grandeur that seems timeless in its appeal.

The Imperial Palace Theater may have a different name than when it opened in 1886 but despite the ravages of war, the beautiful building and the theater company it houses still remain a major force in Vienna.
Modern images of this century-old bridge may be striking like the one I found on Wikipedia but the true beauty of the bridge is the old-world craftsmanship.

The Brooklyn Bridge was dedicated on a beautiful day in May of 1883 and the picture below is one artist's depiction of the bridge as it appeared on that historic day.

While that day may not be a large part of our history, the Brooklyn Bridge itself has become something of an icon related to the gullible and easily conned among us.
